This book is a novel written in 2013 based in history of the wartime development of nuclear weapons by German and Japan. The novel focuses on the work of Fritz Houterman, and the von Ardenne Group, on the van der Graff work of Gerlach a,d the sharing of their results with the Japanese Navy group with Nishina and Yukawa.
After the Second World War, Yukawa would win a Nobel Prize in Physics.
Oppenheimer himself recommended him for the Prize.
Some would say it was to buy his silence.
